Christmas Bird Houses

I have had so much fun today, making these little bird houses
to hang on the Christmas tree.
I thought they would be great with some chocolate or sweeties inside.
You do know there's only 151 day to go !!

These are for this week's Winter Wonderland Challenge,
which is to make a tree decoration.
If you're a christmas fan like me, then you too will just love this blog,
so hop on over there and check out the fabulous creations
from the DT.
I used the excellent template from Nichole Heady
complete with easy to follow tutorial,
and just added a little, lace border to the roof edges.
The cute robin stamp is from Pink Gem Designs,
with the main part of the stamp masked off.
Design Paper is K & Co Peppermint Twist.

Cupcake Bookmark

I confess, I am a bookaholic -
and yesterday I bought a fresh new supply of novels
to get me through the next few weeks.
One of them was Stieg Larsson's, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
This is the first of a crime thriller trilogy.
Has anyone else read them?
I would be interested in what you thought.

Anyhoo - I thought it would be a good idea to make a bookmark.
I am entering this for this week's
Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge.
The theme is 'masking',
and you could win the cutest House Mouse stamp.
Check out the DT work for some really awesome cards.

I used the cupcake stamps from Simon Says Stamp,
masking each one as I went along,
then coloured them with whispers pens, and cut them out.
I layered them onto the design paper, which is
DCWV Nana's Nursery baby Girl.
Card candy and ribbon are from my stash.

I don't often do 'shaped' cards,
but I wanted a card for my niece,
and this week's Stamptacular Challenge
gave me the incentive to try something different.
I found it tricky to cut out the number,
so don't look too closely!!
Sorry about the dark picture too, but it's been raining here all day
and the light isn't good.
I found the template for the 18 card online at Time For Crafting.
Hop on over there and take a look, there are allsorts
of templates and resources.

Today's fun is called 'Build A Card'.
You need to visit the blogs of the 10 DT members
and see what elements you need to 'build' your card.
Be quick though - your card needs to be in by midnight

I know, I know, it's another Christmas card....
I just got carried away.. lol*

This is for this week's Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge.

Christmas in July

What do you do on the hottest day of the year to keep cool?
You make an ice blue, sparkly Christmas card..
lol**
I made this card yesterday,
and thought I'd better post it before the tennis starts.
It's for the
Moving Along with the Times challenge,
~
It's a wonderful sketch, with the option of using
ice blue and white.
What a perfect challenge for me, considering I had just
bought some gorgeous Christmas stamps from

I made a mistake in my rush to colour the stamp -
I coloured in a blue hat, where I now think it's actually hair!!!
Never mind.
Design Papers - Anita's Classic Christmas Blue
Fiskars lace punch - small snowflake punch.
Swirl cut with Sizzix die.
Ribbon from my stash.
