When You Wish Upon A Star

Back to Christmas cards today,
with
Pollycrafts 'Anything Christmas' challenge.
I also made this for a forum that I am in,
where the theme was 'Christmas Songs'.

How is everyone's Christmas shopping going?
I am having a little panic that there is
only 4 weeks to go!!!
Yikes!!
So I forced myself to head into town this morning
and pick up a few presents.

My 1st Miss Anya

I have finally got chance to play with my new stamps -
the adorable Miss Anya Dressy set from
Isn't this one just so cute? -
tricky to color with my Copics though.
I am going to have to practice.

It was nice to take a break from making Christmas cards,
and I have followed the challenge sketch over at
Guess what?
If you're this week's winner the prize is a cute
Mermaid Anya.
So hop over there and give it a go.

Recipe:
Stamp - Miss Anya Dressy, which I bought from

It was my first time using Nikki's online store and
the service was great and delivery was very quick.

so pop over there and grab yourself a bargain.

Stamp was coloured with Copics.

with flourish from their decoupage pad.

3D Christmas Tree Card

How gorgeous is this little, 3D Christmas Tree?
I wish you could see it in real life -
it looks fab!
I got the idea from Marianne at
StampARTic
If you pop over there,
you can see a couple of her awesome cards
and she has kindly added a step by step
tutorial for making the tree.

This card is my entry for this week's
'Animal Antics' challenge,
over at Simon Says.

I used one of the Penny Black, Christmas Critters stamps,
which I layered up and coloured with Copics and
stickles glitter.
Design Paper is My Mind's Eye -
Signature Christmas for the background,
Bloom & Grow for the tree.
Star Charm - the
Hobby House,
Sentiment -
Craftwork Cards
Pearl brad and bows from my stash.

Simons Says, would also like us to bear in mind
the struggle that animal charities face right now,
and please donate if you can.
Here in the UK we have
Children in Need this weekend,
so, to anyone that's
sitting in a bath of cold jelly,
shaving their head,
or getting involved in the fun,
I hope you raise a ton of money!

Christmas Notice Board

This year, I think my front room is going to be full
of crafts made with this gorgeous, glittery paper.
I just love it.
Here is a little Christmas notice board that I made for
the
Stamp with Fun challenge,
where the theme is calendars or decorations.
Check out the awesome work from the DT -
who made some truly wonderful projects.

For my notice board I used a 12" x 12" canvas that I
'borrowed' from my daughter.
These are easy to find in craft shops, but you could use
an old notice board or something similar.
I covered it with my fav, glitery papers -
My Mind's Eye, Signature Christmas.
I knew that the set of little silver pegs and cord
that I bought the other day, would come in useful for something.
I strung the cord across the box, tied at the back,
and the pegs will be great to hang messages up.
The stamp is Pink Gem, Winter Milly,
coloured with Copics, a sprinkling of stickles glitter
and a heap of Diamond Dust.
:-)

For the 'NOEL' I die cut the small tags and the letters,
and added a little bit of the silver cord to them.

Christmas Stars

If you're looking for some cute Christmas ideas
check out the challenge at
Pollycraft
where the theme is 'No Cards Allowed'.

I used my fav. Christmas papers to make these
3D stars.
The photo doesn't really do them justice,
they are pretty and glittery
and will make great hanging ornaments.

Bloom made with small Xcut punch
Pearl brad and silver thread from my stash.

Christmas Girls

I used the great sketch over at
Create4fun
to make Christmas cards for my girls.
I couldn't give them exactly the same so
I just changed the papers and colours.
I think they came out pretty cute -
and I am enjoying using 'non-Christmas'
stamps for my Christmas cards.

Recipe:
Stamp - Sugar Nellie, Pen Pal
coloured with Copics and stickles glitter.
Design Paper - My Mind's Eye, Signature Christmas.
Bloom and snowflakes were X Cut punches.
Pearl brad and star charm from the Hobby House
Ribbon from my stash
and sentiment made on my comp.

Box of Baileys Chocolate Truffles

Baileys, Chocolate and Crafting...
what more could a girl want?

This is my entry for the
Simon Says Stamp Challenge,
where the theme is a 'thankyou card'.
OK, so I made a box -
but I hope that will still qualify.
:-)
I already had a white, flat pack box,
which I made up and covered.
Then I just added a simple base and lid from blue card.
I made the 'Thankyou' sentiment on my comp,
and the 'Treat Yourself' is a stamp from
the Simon Says Stamp, Savor Sweet Cupcakes, set.
Design Paper is My Mind's Eye, Magnolia.
I found a great new tip on my blog travels,
you can colour sticky pearls with your copics,
so that they match your project perfectly.
This is a yummy truffle recipe,
which will definitely be going into my '
Sweets' recipe book.
I added Baileys to my truffles,
but you can use any alcohol or flavouring you like.

3-Tiered Christmas Boxes

Last week I bought the most amazing papers.
The kind that you don't want to cut into,
you just want to put them in a drawer
and take them out every so often to look at them.
:-)
Then I came across this idea for these 3 nesting boxes
and new it would be a perfect way to try my papers out.

This is also my entry for this week's
Stampin' For The Weekend challenge,
where the theme is
'Festive Goodie Box'
Check out the great ideas from the DT -
I am going to find this challenge so useful for
boxing up some Christmas goodies.
I have to say a big thankyou to Shannon for this idea,
that you can see on her blog
Northern Girl Stamper
She has made some awesome box sets and has also
posted the instructions for making the boxes.

I haven't actually put anything in my boxes -
I am just going to use them as a Christmas decoration.

They look fabulous on my white mantelpiece,
and you might not be able to see from my photos,
but all the papers are glittered.

The Design Paper is My Mind's Eye,
Signature Christmas.

Christmas Robin

Have you ever made a card without any backing paper?
That's the challenge over at
Charisma Cardz this week,
and I found it a tough one.
If you want to play along, check out the fab DT work
and don't miss out on the chance to win
one of the Popcorn Bears CD's,

Sorry about the pics,
it's been a dark, rainy day here,
but I hope you can make out all the added sparkle on my card.
I die cut a circle on the front of my card stock
and added stickles glitter all around the edge.

Then I stuck my image to the back of the card,
so it has a little depth.

coloured with copics and stickles glitter.
