Madelynn in Heather

I so wanted to use this stamp with this gorgeous paper -
but the fact that I have only 1 Copic in anything like purple,
made it rather tricky.
I got round it by using grey for her coat and paper-piecing her hat and scarf.
I added some glitter to the flower on her hat and
little pearls for coat buttons.
I am still finding it difficult using my Copic blender pen,
it seems to make the ink run exactly where I don't want it!!

I am entering this card for the challenge at
A Spoon Full Of Sugar.
There's no excuse not to enter this week, as the theme is 'Freestyle'.
So pop on over there and see what fab work the DT have done.
If you enter, you could also be in with a chance to win some amazing
Digi images from The Stamping Boutique.

Matching Set - Card and Wallet

Hello fellow bloggers, hope you are all well.
It's a wet and windy day here,
ideal for turning up the heating
and locking myself in my craft room.

Here's a cute little card and wallet I have made for my niece,
following the *matching set* challenge over at,
Cupcake Craft.
Check out their fab DT work for some lovely gift ideas.

I have used my new stash of Papermania papers -
this is from the Red Hot, Capsule Collection.
These papers are gorgeous and you can get them in several different colours.
Well worth checking them out.

I made the simple wallet from a piece of card, scored and folded,
and stitched along the edge to create the money pocket.
For the closure I used small die cut circles and flowers,
with a brad through the middle,

and wrapped some thread around them.

Recipe -
Stamp - The Greeting Farm, Miss Anya Dressy, coloured with Copics.
Design Paper - Papermania Capsule Collection, Red Hot.
Die cut circles, small blooms, and rhinestone brads, from my stash.

Cinnamon Chips and Fruit Salsa

This is a great little sweet treat to enjoy as a yummy snack,
or a simple dessert.
We are going to have ours whilst we are watching the football.
Come on Leeds!!

I am entering this for 2 challenges -
Simon Says, where the challenge is 'punch it' and
Charism Cardz, where the challenge is 'fruity colours'.
It's definitely fruity!! lol*

Recipe -
I decorated the jar of fruit salsa with some red card,
punched with a fiskars lace punch.
The designer paper was a freebie from a magazine.
I added a lime green ribbon and a flower on the top
(not sure you can really see the flower).

I put the chips in a cellophane bag and for the card top,
I used my lace punch again.
I added Cherry Tilda, coloured with copics
and a little handmade stamp from Hero Arts.

Cinammon Chips - cut tortillas into wedges and put on a baking tray.
Spray with cooking oil and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar,
Bake for 8 - 10 mins at around 180 degrees.
Fruit Salsa - dice up whatever fruit you have.
I used apple(sprinkled with lemon juice),
pineapple, kiwi, strawberry and melon.

Add a little sugar and a good spoonful of good quality jam/conserve.
Chill.

I've got a friend in you.

Am I finally starting to get the hang of Copics???
I really tried hard with the colouring on this stamp
and I am so pleased with how it turned out.
I know it's not perfect, but look -
it's got highlights and shading and stuff!!! lol**
Ok - I did cheat a bit and Heidi's dungarees are paper-pieced.
:-)

I followed the great sketch, by Nicole, over at
Truly Scrumptious.
Pop on over there and see what the DT did with it.

Forever Friends New Home

No stamps were hurt during the making of this card!!
I have had this Forever Friends paper for ages,
and never quite knew what to do with it.
Then I thought that these cute, wallpapering bears,|
would be great for a new home card.
I have layered the bears up, to give them a 3D effect.

I have followed this week's great sketch, by Kathrin, over at
Cupcake Craft.
Pop on over there and check out the fab DT work -
and there is still plenty of time to enter the challenge
and be in with a chance of winning some fab digi images from
Di's Digi Downloads.

Recipe:
Design Paper - Forever Friends, Just For Him.
Purple check background paper - DCWV Nana's Nursery, Baby Boy
Ribbon from my stash. Sentiment made on my comp.

Shabby Chic Anya

This week's challenge at Simon Says is
'shabby chic'.
I'm not quite sure what that means, but
I thought I would have a go anyway.
I inked the edges of my papers and used some scissors
to distress them,
and I'm quite pleased with the finished look.
Today's deliberate mistake, was when I stuck my stamp
down on the scalloped card, completely off centre...
you should have heard me scream!!
I have had to try and stick another piece of card down the
right hand side, so don't look too closely at that bit..lol*

Recipe:
Stamp - The Greeting Farm, Miss Anya Dressy,
coloured with copics.
It's my first time using this stamp, isn't it just adorable?
Design Paper - My Mind's Eye, Wild Asparagus.
'Dream' text, downloaded from mel stampz
You really should check out Mel's blog, she has the most amazing
collection of projects, tutorials and templates.

With Love, Anya

Well, we managed to escape the extra snowfall today,
but it's still cold out there.

I have turned the heating up again

and settled into my craft room.

Remember when you would go back to school after the holidays

and you had just about forgotten how to write!!!

Well, I think I have forgotten how to use my Copics.

So don't look too closely at the colouring.

:-)

My card follows the sketch at the
Truly Scrumptious challenge
(my first challenge entry of the year,

so I have my fingers crossed...lol* ).

21st Birthday Bears

Woohoo!!!
I've done it.

I've finally made my first card of 2010.

:-)

Try as I might though, I can't see a challenge that I could enter it for.

Granted, it's not your usual 21st card -

it's for my daughter's b/f -

but, she has assured me he will love it and think it's funny.

Hope so!!

Recipe:

Digital Stamps - 4 paws Fenmore from
Pollycraft,
coloured with Copics.

Design Paper - Dovecraft Masculine.

Snow Days

Remember 3 weeks ago,
when we looked out of our windows and said

"Awww, snow - doesn't it look pretty"

well,
we are all so over that now, right???
It's not funny anymore!

Even the dog is refusing to go out in it now..lol*

Well, you crafty bloggers are putting me to shame.

I still have yet to make a card this year!

My craft room is the tidiest it has EVER been!

Hoping to get back to it this weekend though.
