You Rock

Hello.

Today I'm sharing a quick card for the
MFT Sketch Challenge.

I love the set that this little bunny comes from.
It's so versatile and I always enjoy colouring their little jackets.

This little guy is popped up with foam pads onto my heart shape,
that I actually remembered to run through the zig-zag die,
to get that lovely detailed edge.

Football Crazy, Football Mad

Is it just me, or does September seem to be
a really busy month for birthdays?
I almost forgot one for a little boy, so this was a super, quick make.

I added a piece of hillside border (I always cut extras, so that I have spares)
to a postage stamp frame -
and attached it to the front of my card with foam pads.

Then I fussy cut my footballer, and football - coloured him with Copics  -
and attached them both with foam tape.
If I had more time, I would have found out the recipients team,
and coloured in the proper football strip, instead of plain red,
but I did have time to add a little glossy accents to the ball.

Boo!

Eek! Look at me mum - I'm inking!
Don't look to closely - it's a bit rough -
but this is my first distress ink background.
I am not good at 'arty' stuff, so I was definitely out of my comfort zone.

For my inspiration I used the challenge picture at Time Out -
picking out the autumn colours and trees.

The white card above was actually my second attempt.
The prototype is below, in black.
On this one I got a bit giddy and forgot to mask off my moon,
so ended up cutting it out with a circle die after the background was inked.

I also had trouble with the trees. I had to try and mask them off
with tape whilst inking in between them.
On the white card you can see they are a little more defined because I
stamped them in black instead of grey.

All in all - it was a learning curve, but I had fun.

Old person's birthday card

Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live :-)

This is a card for my dh's best friend.
Hope he sees the funny side :-)

I'm playing along at Freshly Made Sketches, but as usual I've
interpreted the sketch in my own way, and also rotated it 90 degrees.

The sentiment was stamped with a magazine freebie alphabet set.

Late, but with love

OOPS!
I'm late for my niece's birthday.

And whilst we're pretending I was on time,
can we also pretend my card isn't slightly wonky.

I love, love, love this alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.
I used it a lot for my dd's wedding accessories -
it was great for place cards, dessert table cards, and general signs,
and the letters line up really well.

I stamped my sentiment straight onto the coloured card, and made
a panel from a little die cut hill and postage stamp die.
Lastly I added the bear and balloons on foam pads.

As I was attaching my panel to the base card the foam pads
had a mind of their own, and it ended up a little wonky -
but that's hand-made cards for you... right?

Challenges.

Simon Wednesday - Stamp It
PennyBlack at Allsorts - Add A Sentiment

WPlus9 Friends For All Seasons - Fall, coloured with Copics.

Go Green

Despite green being my favourite colour,
it often gets relegated to the bottom of the card pile.
Today I dug deep and came up with this bold, polka dot paper.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I know exactly who this card is for.

Once again I'm playing along at
I've made my rectangle slightly larger, and replaced the circle
with my die-cut dog, but I hope you can still make out the sketch.

Falling Leaves

Yay!
I survived a four day wedding :-)
My youngest dd, Annabel, is now married (scroll down for a few pics).

There will be no more making confetti cones, or pompoms,
place cards or dessert flags for a while :-)
Now, I can get back to some card making.
And I'm starting off with this little autumn, birthday card for the

The leaves are die cut, coloured with Copics and popped up on foam pads.

Tip: when you have cut out all these leaves, try not to sneeze,
or you will be searching for them all over the floor!!

True Love

Our youngest daughter Annabel married her soul mate at the weekend.
It was the most beautiful day - despite non stop torrential rain!
