Hot in the city

Hi there.
I'm not going to lie... I'm a little disappointed with this card.
It looked better in my head!!

It was also a little fiddly to put together.
I die cut the cityscape in white card, putting the main piece aside
and instead using  the top part (the piece that usually goes in the bin!).
This piece was then stuck to white card, that acted as a base layer.
Then, I cut the houses out in separate rainbow colours, fitted them into the white piece,
and glued them to the base.
I'm sure I'm making it sound much more complicated than  it is.
It's very simple really !!

  1. Wahoo Caroline! This really is fabulous, a winner in my eyes - very clever idea and beautifully done, you're too hard on yourself!!

Now, if you used scraps or snippets of card (and I bet you did) - why not come and join us in the snippets playground? It's good fun, a lovely crowd and a little prize each week. This week's is a poppy die - just to entice you :)

  22. Hi Caroline . . . and welcome to the Snippets Playground. Unfortunately, there's a lack of glue and cardstock available as one little imp has hidden it from the rest of us!

    Anyhoo . . . onto your card . . . masterfully done I reckon!

See you on the roundabout later.

  24. Caroline, this is a fabulous snippets card! You are too hard on yourself! I love your rainbow city! I did a similar card a couple of weeks ago with cutting the die in sections and so I know how fussy this was. It looks like a winner to me!! Hugs, Darnell
