Hey there!

So, I was rummaging around in my bits & pieces box, and came across this ready made tag.
This has probably been in my stash for about 10 years...   I'm not kidding!
When I first started making cards I would buy these topper things, stick them on a card base,
with a silver 'happy birthday' sticker and I was done.  Ha ha!  How things have changed.

I used the colours on the tag as my starting point - although they do look a little washed out on my photo,
and I got my layout inspiration from the Case study challenge

To echo the challenge card's circles, I used my star stamp. Stamping excess ink off onto some scrap paper and then stamping on my card base, so that it comes out much fainter. This is the first time I've tried this and I like the result it gives.

Challenges.

  5. Fabulous card there Caroline! Love how you worked the tag into the design and colours.

I started out in exactly the same way as you - I bet most of us did :) Used to wait for the January sales. buy half price gift tags, chop 'em up as toppers and add a peel off. Card done, tee, hee.

I have a recipe up on my blog today you might like - which reminds me that we have a pork joint in the freezer already cooked in BBQ sauce just ready to heat and pull with your delicious pomegranate salad sometime during this week. Bring it on!
