A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

Hello.

Have you checked out the May release from My Favorite Things?
There are some oh so cute goodies to get creative with.

Here, and on the MFT blog today, I'm sharing a couple of cards made with the cutest stamps and dies.

Hope you like them.

For my first card I've used the sweet 'Love You a Bunch' stamp and die.
I needed a card for my Mum's birthday and when I saw this cutie I knew she would love her.

I wanted to keep it nice and soft so, for the background, I used some pretty, pastel colours with the new circle stencil.
I have a feeling this stencil is going to get a lot of use. It's great for all sorts of techniques.

Then, to make it a little more special, I added the 'MUM' letters.
These were cut with Stitched Alphabet dies, attached to some foam, and popped back into place.

My second card uses the adorable 'Sweet Somebunny' set.

I don't know about you, but when I get a new set I like to stamp and die-cut all the different pieces, and move them around a card base to see where inspiration takes me.
That was easy in this case, as all the sweet elements are just perfect for creating a cute, little outdoor scene.

I never thought little old me would get the chance to be even a small part of the fabulous, creative MFT team - so I want to say a mahoosive thanks to them for asking me.
With special thanks to Erica and Stephanie - you are awesome.  xxx

Have a great day everyone  xxx

HAPPY CAMPERS

Hello.

My dh has had a mid-life crisis, and has bought us a touring caravan -
It could be worse, right?  :-)

For the last few week's I have been trying to squeeze in some crafting,
in between jaunts around the country.
So, when I came to make my dh's birthday card, it just had to be this image.

All this little scene is missing, is the mini BBQ for those morning, bacon butties.

Challenge.

Hello Little One

Hello

I'm pinching myself today!
I'm joining the awesome team over at MFT Stamps with a Guest Design Spot.
How cool is that?  :-)

I'm sharing a couple of projects using the sweet,  new stamp-and-die set
'Hello Little One'.

For my first card, I did some simple cutting, to create a little train for the toy horse to pull.
In between the wagons I used a piece of the die-cut balloon string (from Party Animals) and the square 'BABY' blocks are In and Out Stitched Squares.

For me, polka dots and baby cards are a match made in heaven, so I used the large Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots stamp on my background.
Stamped in Versamark, clear embossed, and then inked.
I hope you can just about make out the pretty shine and texture that this adds.

I kept things nice and simple for my second card.

I used the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot stamp again - this time stamping through a masked circle, and embossing in white.
The cute, teddy is popped up on foam tape and I finished by adding a pretty scalloped frame.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day xx

Bottoms Up!

Hello.

I'm excited today, to be joining in the fun at MFT & Friends.

Make sure you pop on over to the blog and check out the awesome work
of the design team.
All the projects will feature the fabulous new products from the May release.

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I've made with the new Martini and
 Margarita Die-namics.

I started by making a bokeh effect background with some distress inks
and the  circle stencil.
Then, I created the shaker element, with the use of the new martini die-namics and shaker pouches.
The shaker contains some beads, sequins and some of the new frosty ice cubes.
Too cute!

To complete my card, I used a sentiment from the spirited sentiments set
and a stitched rectangle scallop frame.

For my second card, I opted for a blue/green bokeh background and used the
  Margarita shaker die-namics and pouches,
I also kept the background simple with the rectangle stax die-namics

It was such fun creating with these new products.
It's the first time I've used the plastic shaker pouches and they are SO much easier than fiddling about with foam tape and acetate,
plus my sequins don't get stuck at the edges this way.
I'm definitely converted :-)

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you'll head on over to the MFT blog for some May inspiration.
