Autumn Colours

I had to suit up this morning to take the dog round the park... the full works - boots, hat, scarf and gloves.
Then the sun came out and it's blue skies all the way. Typical English weather!!

Here's another Autumn card - following the challenge sketch at Charisma Cardz.
I am also entering this for the challenge at  A Spoon Full of Sugar,
where they want to see Autumn colours.

I layered up my card and DP's and stitched them in place, adding some lace to one panel.
The image was coloured with Copics, with a little stickles glitter on her hat flower, some adhesive pearls as buttons and some liquid pearls on her shoe straps.
The flowers were made with a purchased bloom and some punched centres, then I added a button and some glitter and finished off with some embossed XCut leaves.

Stamp - The Greeting Farm Twinkle Tots Madelynn
Design Paper - Memory Box 'Blackbird'
Text Stamp - Catslife Press
Stickles 'Frosted Lace'     Liquid Pearls 'Platinum'
Buttons and pearls from my stash.
Xcut punches for bloom centres and leaves.

Lazy Afternoon

I think buttons are my nemesis.
I see lots of you using them, to fabulous effect,
but it doesn't seem to matter what I do with them,
they never look quite right!
I will persevere though - I won't let the buttons beat me!!
lol**

I had to have this Lili of the Valley stamp when I saw it,
it's going to be perfect for those boys/men cards that I struggle with.
I coloured it with Copics -
but kind of wish I hadn't done those red stripes on his top.
Something a bit softer might have looked better.

I'd like to enter it for this week's Charisma Cardz Challenge,
where the theme is
'One for the Boys'

Stamp -Lili of the Valley - 'Lazy Afternoon' coloured with Copics.
  • Design Paper - Papermania Hampstead 'A Warm Welcome'
  • Red Velvet Brad - Papermania Hampstead 'Sweeties'
  • Edge of stamp inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'Antique Linen'
  • String and buttons from my stash.

Cinnamon Chips and Fruit Salsa

This is a great little sweet treat to enjoy as a yummy snack,
or a simple dessert.
We are going to have ours whilst we are watching the football.
Come on Leeds!!

I am entering this for 2 challenges -
Simon Says, where the challenge is 'punch it' and
Charism Cardz, where the challenge is 'fruity colours'.
It's definitely fruity!! lol*

Recipe -
I decorated the jar of fruit salsa with some red card,
punched with a fiskars lace punch.
The designer paper was a freebie from a magazine.
I added a lime green ribbon and a flower on the top
(not sure you can really see the flower).

I put the chips in a cellophane bag and for the card top,
I used my lace punch again.
I added Cherry Tilda, coloured with copics
and a little handmade stamp from Hero Arts.

Cinammon Chips - cut tortillas into wedges and put on a baking tray.
Spray with cooking oil and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar,
Bake for 8 - 10 mins at around 180 degrees.
Fruit Salsa - dice up whatever fruit you have.
I used apple(sprinkled with lemon juice),
pineapple, kiwi, strawberry and melon.

Add a little sugar and a good spoonful of good quality jam/conserve.
Chill.

Charisma Cardz Challenge 9

Hello,
it's my first time over at Charisma Cardz
and this week their challenge is
'Pretty cards for Mum'
If you want some inspiration
check out their excellent DT work.

My card uses one of the gorgeous Whiff Of Joy stamps,
from the spring collection -
coloured with whispers pens and stickles.
I used my favourite papers from K & Company (Classic)
The cute little heart brad was in my prize stash,
from Creative Inspirations.
I found those dried roses at the bottom of my craft box -
and thought they just went perfectly with the paper.
You can't quite see on the picture,
but the letters are covered with glossy accents,
to give them a lovely shine.
