Martinis are always a good idea.

This morning I came across a few House Mouse stamps.

They have been rather neglected of late, but I wanted to see if I could use them and still create a CAS card.

What do you think?

I played along at the House Mouse & Friends challenge, which is Amethyst, White + 1 other colour.

I stamped straight onto my card base, coloured the image with Copics,

and sprinkled Diamond Dust on the glass.

A couple of snippets of dp were used to add some colour, then a Pink Petticoat sentiment

and scattered bling finished everything off nicely.

Last week I came across this fabulous image from Birdie Brown.
Isn't he the cutest? 
And  just perfect for 'guy' cards.
Rockin' Doggie is a generous freebie from Torico,
and if you're really quick, you can use him to enter her June challenge (closes on Saturday).

My doggy is coloured with Copics and then fussy cut.
Before I attached him with foam pads I used a little, ball point tool on the back, 
which helped to give him a more rounded shape.

Sometimes you just need a hug.

Just  a quick post from me today...
my time seems to be running away from me right now.
Here is a card I made for a crafty friend, who needs a big {hug}

You can't tell from the picture, but that  DP is gorgeous. 
The pink stripe is flocked, so it has a lovely, soft, furry texture.
I kept everything else really simple - colouring lightly with my Copics and adding die cut 'hugs'.

I wanted to make the 'hugs' letters more 3D, but they are so tiny I couldn't cut the foam pads small enough. I ended up just using a dab of glue on each letter.

Today I have spent the day crafting, when really I should have been getting on with some housework.

I will just have time, after posting this, to rush round with the hoover and spray some furniture polish about - make hubby think I have been busy!!

This is for my SIL's birthday next week - I hope she likes bright!!
The background is a single piece of Kaisercraft DP, that I didn't want to cover up too much. Luckily there was an area of white space where I could place my circle and image.

When I have a large area, like this Diva's dress, I usually resort to paper piecing ('cos I don't trust my colouring skills) but I got the Copics out for this one and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.

I was lucky enough to get to use one of the great stamps from Digi Stamp Boutique for my card.

This is the adorable Feddie and Dino.

I paper- pieced Dino with some of the Kaisercraft, La Di Da, dp, and the rest of the stamp was coloured with Copics. The bottom edge and the arrow are both cut outs that come with the papers.

The 'it's your birthday' stamp is from the Papermania, Stamping for him, set.

As soon as I saw the 'party' theme I knew I wanted to use this tequila girl from Bugaboo and, because a girl can't go to a christmas party without a bit of glitz, I added some fine pink glitter to her dress.

I used some gorgeous DP from Kaiser Craft called La Di Da.

The strip at the bottom with the flowers is so pretty, you can just make out that it's all glittery.
From this picture it looks like the image is layered onto black card,
but I used my nesties to make a frame and the picture is underneath,
so in real life it has a more 3D look.

a dotty birthday card and a box of chocolate, dotty cupcakes!!

The cupcake box and cases came from Sainsbury's - I just covered the box with Pink Petticoat's Digi Papers  - in blueberry. I added a die cut card, stamped the text and put a bloom in the corner.

For the card, I used the same dotty digi paper. I masked my cupcake stamps and also paper-pieced the cases. I added a little, green die cut tag, and an 'it's your birthday' stamp.

Soft Pencil Digital Stamps

I have a stack of these cards (152mm x 104mm )
that I find a bit too small, so to create a more workable area

I have added an extra piece of card to the top of them.
My image is coloured with Copics 

and the mushroom is dabbed with liquid pearls.

The heart charms were in my local craft shop, in the jewellery section,
I used split rings to add them to a  straighter piece (don't know what that's called!)
then threaded it with little beads.
I have rescued a little pair of round nose pliars from my dh's toolbox,

for these fiddly jobs!!!

I will give them a much better home.
