Eat you Own Weight In Cake

 Hello.

Today I needed a card for a little girl, so I reached for the pink card and some cute 'pawty time' stamps.

I white heat embossed the sentiment and streamers onto the pink cardstock, which gives it a lovely crisp contrast and a little texture.

Then I added my cute animals (a dog and a cat ???)  and a huge cake.
It's not really a birthday unless you eat your own weight in cake, is it?

Challenge

  • my favorite things - pawty time
  • pinkfresh studio - diagonal stitch rectangle
  • lawn fawn - stitch hillside borders
  • versamark ink and hero arts white embossing powder
  • copics and white gel pen

A Birthday Without Cake Is Just A Meeting

Say hello to this 'celebration squad' girl.
Another year older, and ready to eat her bodyweight in cupcakes!

This was really fun to put together, and there are so many different combinations to play with.
I had this in mind for someone, so I tailored the look to hers.

Challenge

  • concord and 9th - celebration squad dies
  • concord and 9th cardstock - buttercup/sprout/honeysuckle
  • distress oxide - cracked pistachio
  • versmark ink / wow white embossing powder

The Bigger The Cake, The Bigger the Birthday

Hello.
Today I'm sharing this cute pup, hauling along the most enormous birthday cake.
Hmmm... chocolate sponge and, raspberry and vanilla icing, I think. Yum!

I often overlook those little stamps in a set, but here, I've used them for the background.
The confetti and present were stamped onto some 'grapefruit' paper with versamark ink, sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat embossed.

Then I added a panel, die cut with an oval nestability, and my pup with his cake was coloured with copics and popped up with foam tape.

Challenge

I've rotated the sketch, to give me a landscape card,
but kept the sentiment at the bottom.

  • mft - pawty time
  • copic markers
  • versamark ink and white embossing powder
  • oval nestability

WITH SPRINKLES ON

Hello

It was our eldest, daughter's birthday yesterday.
And it was so strange not being able to visit her, to have a party, or even hug her.
She is a cardiac physiologist at Leeds Hospital
and is working hard to take care of her patients and stay safe.

STAY HOME :  PROTECT THE NHS : SAVE LIVES

I stamped and die-cut the ice-creams and lollies, and popped them up on a card panel.
For the background, I went a little crazy, and stamped the sprinkles everywhere!
You can never have too many sprinkles, right?
