I am an MSN refugee, and trying to get to grips with learning how forums work,
so I thought, 'what a great time to start a new blog'....
in for a penny...
This weekend's project was a little sweet treat, that I found on the web,
(forget the fact that I am on a diet and can't sample the results).
It's actually made with cereal, but don't let that fool you,
you can probably put weight on just by looking at it.
You could probably use any cereal, and any chocolate for the topping.
Or you could be realy decadent out and use dark, white and milk chocolate all in one go.
240g Cereal ( I used half plain shreddies and half coco shreddies)
220g brown sugar
85g butter
3 tbsps liquid glucose

50g white chocolate buttons.

Measure out the cereal into a large mixing bowl, and line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
In a glass bowl, microwave the sugar, butter and liquid glucose for 1 or 2 mins on high.
Stir until melted and smooth. Stir in the baking powder.
Pour over the cereal, stirring to coat it all. Microwave on high for 3 mins.

Stir after every minute to make sure all the cereal is coated.
Spread onto the baking sheet and cool for 10 mins.
Melt the white choc butons in the microwave - about 1 min 30 seconds - until they have melted.
Use a fork to drizzle the chocolate over the cereal.
