Sail away with me honey

I have had another rummage in my stash today, and not only discovered a neglected stamp set,
but also an unused boat die.
I think they were from when I first began card making -
you know - when dinosaurs still roamed the earth!!!

Here's my card.

The wave design is from the stamp set I found and I don't think it's ever been inked up before.
I used pearlescent ink on it -  which gives a pretty shimmer IRL.
I die cut the boat, paper piecing the colours onto a white base.

I was in a rush to finish, so I messed up a couple of times. More haste less speed!!
1. The little separate banners are in the wrong order.
2. I stamped the sentiment onto the card at first and completely botched it, so it had to be covered  up!

Challenges.
CASology - Wet
Addicted to CAS - Far Away

Supplies.
Hero Arts border stamp.        ProcoCraft boat die.
Brilliance ink, pearlescent sky blue.  Memento ink, dandelion
Banner die was a magazine freebie.
Sequins and gems.   Sentiment Stamp, Personal Impressions.

Hi Caroline,
Love your fresh looking card - nobody would ever know that there were any mistakes Sssshh!!

Also like the idea of searching through your unused stamps, something that I am very guilty of. Why is the buying bit so much nicer than the using bit?!!

Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog :) xxx

Cool find. That boat and waves look great!

I botch things up with my stamping all the time. I am so not a decent stamper...hence my sentiments and images are always on separate pieces of card to cover my boo boo's.
