Everything Is Peachy

Hello.
I'm excited today to be joining along as a guest designer at the Color Hues Challenge.
Nancy runs a fabulous challenge and there is always lots of great inspiration to be had from her talented design team. This fortnight they'd like to see Peach & Grey.

I think that recently something has just clicked with this colour challenge for me. I've been approaching it in a different way. I know it sounds like the opposite of what I should do, but now I'm not totally focusing on the colours. I just make the card I want to make, and work the colours into it.
Take this card - if I was thinking peach and grey, I probably wouldn't have thought of birds and leaves.
Does that make sense to anyone??
How do you approach a colour challenge?

I hope you'll find time to play along with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I am really thinking about your question. My answer is, it depends what the colors are. I LOVE your approach, Caroline, and the result is fabulous! We're so happy to have you as GD, you rocked it!

Love your exotic birds in amongst the grey foliage Caroline, the colours really work. Must admit my first thoughts are always flowers but the I have to think out of the box or it would get boring! Thanks for being a GD this time. :)

Even though I got a sneak peek, I have to come by and leave a proper comment. Since seeing this card, I have it on my wish list as I have a PFS Gift certificate to use! Just perfect in every way! As for how I approach a color challenge, I do give some thoughts of what might be in that color scheme but generally, my card then evolves on its own and sometimes I get swayed in a totally different direction! Have a great week and thanks for guesting with us and doing such a great job!

Caroline so fun to have you as our guest this challenge and your card is so gorgeous!! I think using grey for leaves is a fantastic way to think outside the box, I have grey clouds on mine! It is what your style imagines!! Thank you so much for being our guest at the Colour Hues!
