BLUE CAR

Hello.
I dug extra deep into my stash for this CAS card
and came up with this little, car die.

It's from a set that was one of my first ever die purchases -
back when I told myself that I probably wouldn't use dies that much.
Ha ha!

I sat a little piggy inside the car and, as luck would have it,
his trotters were in the perfect place to draw in a steering wheel.
Then I added the balloons and a tiny bow.

I did really struggle to add a few highlights.
The pen just wouldn't work properly.
It was only when I was clearing away that I realised I'd been
trying to use a glue pen, instead of my white gel pen.  Duh!

Fake it till you make it

Hey there.
Today I'm sharing my FAKE shaker card with you.

This is my card for the CASology challenge,
where the theme is
SEA

It was going to be a shaker card, until I realised I had no acetate.
So the card section with the boat die, is popped up on foam pads and the sequins
are fixed in place behind it.
Does that make sense?

You don't get the fun of a shaker card, but it's a good alternative.

Supplies.
Pinstripe digi dp  - Pink Petticoat.
Boat die - Provocraft
Banner - stamped in Versa Colour Bisque with die cut from WPlus9
Sentiment - Penny Black Critters    Sequins.

Sail away with me honey

I have had another rummage in my stash today, and not only discovered a neglected stamp set,
but also an unused boat die.
I think they were from when I first began card making -
you know - when dinosaurs still roamed the earth!!!

Here's my card.

The wave design is from the stamp set I found and I don't think it's ever been inked up before.
I used pearlescent ink on it -  which gives a pretty shimmer IRL.
I die cut the boat, paper piecing the colours onto a white base.

I was in a rush to finish, so I messed up a couple of times. More haste less speed!!
1. The little separate banners are in the wrong order.
2. I stamped the sentiment onto the card at first and completely botched it, so it had to be covered  up!
