Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Hello. Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween. It rained here - of course it did - but it didn't put off those trick or treaters.

Today I'm sharing this cool 'go girl' card, for a new teenager.

This was a quick make. It's mostly die cuts, but I did just have to fussy cut and colour, the neck and head. Then I stuck them together and popped my girl up with foam tape.

I now there's a big pop of yellow in there, for the hair, but I figured I could get away with that as a 'necessary neutral' Ha ha!

  • waffle flower - go girl
  • distress ink - salty ocean / festive berries / pickled raspberry
  • mama elephant - labeled messages
  • copics
  • glossy accents

Reading Is My Favourite Sport

Hello. Are you a reader? I love books, but I don't have the physical space for them anymore, so I treated myself to a Paperwhite. I love it! It goes everywhere with me, and is perfect for reading outside, even on sunny days.
So, this image called to me - books and coffee - what could be better?

It's the dreaded one layer challenge at Less Is More this fortnight - and they'd like to see an off centre image. I did a little bit of easy masking with some post-it notes, and held my breath as I stamped right onto the card base! I'm amazed! Not a smudge, or random blob of ink anywhere :o)

I coloured the images with copics and added some glossy accents to the glasses.

Mojo Monday Week 74

Wow!
2 posts in one day ~ are you impressed?
I just couldn't resist giving the new sketch on Mojo Monday a try.
As usual, it's a great sketch
and there's some gorgeous work from the design team to check out.

Here's my card. The stamp is from See D's Piece of Cake set.
I used Glossy Accents on the filling and icing,
and tried really hard to show you that glossy effect on the photo.
If you click on the picture, the larger image does show it a little better.
The paper is Papermania Simply Elegant
and the ribbon and bloom are from my stash.

Cute Card Thursday

Here's my entry for Challenge 47, over at
Cute Card Thursday

The theme this week is music and dance,
so go and check out the great cards by the design team for some inspiration.

I thought this card would be great for someone passing their driving test.
The 'I like driving in my car' is from the Madness song.
I used the cute Taxi design and Little Big Dots backing paper
from Pink Petticoat

I also got a chance to try out my new Glossy Accents,

that I got from The Stamp Bug.
It's a 3D clear gloss, that dries to a hard, shiny finish...
perfect for the car's paintwork.

It was hard to photo, but you can just about make out how shiny it is.
