LET'S PRETEND

Hello.

Welcome to January 223rd
Tell me I'm not the only one that thinks this month is going on forever :-)

Today I'm sharing a simple card, for a couple of CAS challenges.

This was my first time using that mini alpha set,
and I found it kind of tricky lining up the letters,
but well worth the effort in the end.

Challenges

Colour Me Pretty
Use Markers or Pencils
(I've used Copics on my kitten and hearts)

Supplies
Mama Elephant - 3 Amigos.  Copics.
MFT - Mini Well Connected Alpha.   Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangle

FAVOURITE HUMAN

Hello.

I'm playing along with the Muse challenge again today,
with my version of Kim's sweet card.

Valentine's Day is just round the corner,
and I've been seeing lots of cards with hearts on,
so I swapped Kim's circle windows for hearts and used a pretty, pale pink dp for the background.

Then I added some little puppies, peeking out, an embossed sentiment and a few sequins.

Oh Joy!

Hello.

I'm happy to be playing along with one of my favourite challenges today -

I do love to see the inspiration card and how people interpret it into their own work.
I admit though, I sometimes end up going off on a tangent, and have to explain when my attempt looks nothing like the designer's card !
I'm working on that   :-)

This time I've pretty much stuck to Tracey's overall design,
using a blue background, a central image and the sentiment embossed onto black card.

For my own spin, I clear embossed the sentiment onto my panel,
before inking it up lightly, with blue distress ink.

Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass     Copics

DRUM ROLL

Hello.

Just sharing a simple card today,
using these cute 'Strike up the Band' bunnies.

Before Christmas I invested in a Tim Holtz stamping platform,
and it's just brilliant for stamping sentiments like this one.
No more smudges from dropping the stamp, and you can stamp several times
to get a really crisp image.

PEACE

I couldn't resist this cute, chameleon from Your Next Stamp -
even if he does take me an age to colour!

Here he is doing his little PEACE sign    :-)

It's hard to tell from the photo,
but I added lots of dimension to this card.
The chameleon (and birthday message) is popped up on foam tape
and, for the PEACE sentiment, I made a sandwich from 2 layers
of letters cut from foam sheet and then the inked letters on top.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello.
Wishing you all a very happy, healthy New Year.
It's nice to be back in my craft room, but I feel a bit rusty.
I need to have a good tidy up and put some Xmas stamps away,
but I just couldn't bring myself to stop using these Yetis  :-)

Sorry about the photo.
It's a nice, bright day here today, but I seem to have a bit of a blue tint going on!!
Urgh!  Who else finds taking decent photos the hardest thing?
