YAY FOR CAKE !

Hello

I've had one of those weeks, when most of my makes
have ended up filed, in the bin.
And this one was going the same way.

A simple CAS card, for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

After 2 attempts, one messing up the YAY die cuts,
and two, dropping the 'cake' stamp, I thought I had it nailed.
Then I looked at the card and it was just all lopsided.
Everything was scrunched up to the right, trying to escape off the edge :o)

I wracked my brains for how to add more balance, and in the end
I re-stamped my sentiment on a stitched, edge square and added it, over the old one, with foam tape.

Not as CAS as I would like, but I think I salvaged it?
What do you say?

UNFORGETTABLE

Hello.

Cute critters are the order of the day, over at the Muse card club challenge.
But, can you believe I have no mixed animal sets?
One's just been added to my wish list, but for now I'm using these sweet elephants.

A super, cute card from Kim Heggins is this week's inspiration.

I've focused on -
a grass background
fun animals
and a sentiment placed in the upper left

Supplies
MFT - stitched rectangle scallop frame
WPlus9 - unforgettable
Lawn Fawn - stitched hillside borders

I WOOF YOU

Hello.

Are you playing along at MFT Stamps?
They have a fabulous competition running right now -
it's their 2018 Creative Olympics, with different challenges,
where you could win yourself a 'medal'    :-)

Here is the Valentine card I made for my lovely hubby.

Create one card that includes at least three separate stamp sets — any three MFT sets in your collection!

The 3 sets I used -
1. Four Legged Friends
2. Mini Well Connected Alphabet
3. Beast Friends ( the heart stamp and die)

I also used the MFTdienamics Peek A Boo Striped Heart
Distress Ink in Barn Door and Copics

SOW CUTE

Hello.

You're killing me over at MUSE this week.
Flowers AND butterflies :-)

Arghhh... it's taken me all week to come up with something.

That's me using a butterfly!! I think for the first time ever.
My daughter, Annabel, hates them, so I never put them on my cards.
But considering she is now 28 and married, I might have to review that policy ! :o)

I focused on the birthday sentiment, stamped slightly over the image,
and of course, the shaker butterfly.

Thanks for the inspiration Anita.
I really love your pretty, soft foliage,
and it's made me want to try again with flower/leaf stamps.
So, I've ordered what look like some easy to use blooms.
Fingers crossed :-)

Supplies.
lawn fawn - stitched rectangle.  copics.
mft - sow much cuteness.   simonsaysstamp - thoughtful messages

YAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello.

Is anybody else feeling the urge to spring clean?
This morning hubby and I have completely changed around our bedroom furniture.
Which meant hoovering under the bed.   Urgh!
And actually dusting the drawers and wardrobes!
I know. I need to lie down now.
Maybe open some wine  :-)

But first, my card for this week's MUSE challenge.

How cute is Vicki's card?

I took inspiration from
the colours (which I used in my background)
the circle
the trio of animals
the birthday sentiment

Supplies.
MFT - Four Legged Friends / Stitched Scallop Rectangle Die / Stitch Scallop Basic Edges
Spellbinders - Circle Die
Distress Ink - Ripe Persimmon / Pickled Raspberry / Mustard Seed

PEEK A BOO

Hello.

What's the weather like where you are?
Here in Yorkshire, it's been gloomy and cold,
and I've been trying to take photos of these cards for 2 days!!

I'm entering them for the MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge.

I used the 'peek a boo' striped heart die for the background.
But, instead of going the 'Valentine's' route, I teamed it up with
some baby clothes, for a New Baby card.

Aren't those little, baby clothes just the cutest?

The dies are great to use with all your little snippets of pretty papers,
and besides all the clothes, you get lots of little extras like the hearts, stars, hangers etc.

So, of course, I had to make a version in blue too :-)

Supplies.
MFT Dienamics - Peek A Boo Heart and Bundle of Baby Clothes.
Sentiment - Altenew, Hug Me
