Hey there, hope you are all well.
I am busy making plans for my eldest daughter, Maria's, birthday.
She will be 25 on Saturday.
I am in charge of the party - I have been stringing up fairy lights all afternoon -
the food and the drink - so I have lists everywhere :-)
I just had time to squeeze in a quick make - hope it makes you smile.
The cue card for this week's CASology is 'Joke' and Cardz for Guyz wants you to 'make them laugh' -
so I hope this fits the bill. Pop over to those challenges if you want a giggle*
I coloured my image with Copics and made up the sentiment on my comp.
Stamp - Do crafts Hot Diggity, coloured with Copics.
DP - Basic Grey Wags and Whiskers
Sequin and gem from my stash.

Monkey Business
Afternoon everyone -
hope you're enjoying the weekend.
We've had a few snow flurries here, but so far nothing has settled.
Here's a card using this week's sketch at Less Is More.
I fully intended to use a stamp on my card, until I came across this cute, monkey paper -
how could I resist?
The paper is used in a negative kind of way - with the white card, top and bottom,
popped up on foam pads.
There was a little gap in the monkey dp, on the right, so I flipped the sketch
and added my tag there.
Challenges.
Less Is More - #156 Sketch
Totally Papercrafts - One For The Boys
Crafty Hands - #6 Put A Tag On It
Supplies:
DP - Basic Grey, Oliver
Hand Cut Tag. Nestie Pennant Die. Star Punch. Sequins & Gems
Sentiment Stamp - Penny Black

Too Cute To Spook
I have finally found the secret to keeping dh out from under my feet, so that I can craft and bake all day.
James Bond movies... all 22 of them, all 'on demand' on Sky Anytime.
Right now I am singing along to Goldfinger... da da da!
So, back to crafting, and here is my 2nd Halloween card, using the Tiddly Inks couple (scroll down if you want to see the first one).
As you can see, I stuck with the same layout, just changed the colours.
This card is for my dd Maria, who is going to her party as a peacock (weird!). I know she has bought a blue/green dress, so I tried to reflect this in my colouring, and I had some fun with the red hair.
I also sprinkled some Glamour Dust on her dress and a little on her 'eyeshadow' - the camera hasn't really picked it up, but it's sparkly IRL.
Tip for Top Tip Tuesday.
I'm finding it difficult to find some thin black paper, for layering (I use black a lot!) so I have resorted to running my black Copic around the edge of my DP. This creates the illusion of a black layer and of course you can make it as thick or as thin as you like, or use a colour to match your scheme.
You're gonna tell me you've all been doing this for ages, aren't you? ;-)
Challenges.
2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Too cute To Spook
Stampin' for the Weekend - Something Spooky (I know this is more cute than spooky, so if you feel it doesn't fit the challenge ladies, I will delete it, just let me know)
Top Tip Tuesday - Things with Wings (The crow cut from my DP)
Polka Doodles - Halloween
Supplies.
Tiddly Inks Digi Couple, coloured with Copics and Glamour Dust.
Little Claire's Silhouette Cats.
DP - Basic Grey, Max and Whiskers and Memory Box
Black Gems, Ribbon, Spellbinders Nestie Die.

Born To Cycle
Have you been busy making Mother's Day cards this week?
Over at Totally Papercrafts we want you to put away all those girly things!! The lovely Sarah has chosen the theme of Male Cards.
Did I hear a groan?? :-)
I don't know how these cute images have escaped me for so long. This one is from the 'swings and slides' collection over at Pollycraft and they are perfect for boys' cards.
This chap is coloured with Copics, cut out and mounted with foam tape.
I know that little froggy is completely the wrong colour for this card - but I don't care :-) When I came across him at the bottom of my brad box, I had to add him.

I feel the need, the need for speed!
My BIL loves his motorbike,
so I am always on the look out for images for his cards.
This one from the Graphics Fairy caught my eye, I think he will love it.I printed the image out, layered it up, and followed Uma's great sketch over at Sketch & Stamp.
I stamped the bunting, cut it out and paper-pieced it. Then I just added a few brads and the sentiment.
Nice and easy, and I think the slightly grungy style paper goes well with the vintage image.

Boys will be Boys
Well, it's clear to see you really love your 'girly' cards -
the Totally Papercrafts entries last week were fabulous.
So, you can guess what's coming this week, can't you?
Our lovely host is Mel and, yep, the theme is...
One For The Boys
I'm really happy with my Copic colouring on this little boy - once a flood it just seems to come together!
Once he was coloured I thought to myself, 'what would this little guy have in his pockets?'
and, amongst a plastic dinosaur, a block of lego and a half eaten jammie dodger, I decided he would have an old ticket, an odd button and a piece of string. So, those were the things I used as embellies!
Challenges -
Sweet Stampin - One for the Boys
Die Cut Dreams - Animal Antics
Supplies.
Digi Stamp - Mo's Digital Pencil, Tolerance.
DP - Basic Grey, Oliver
Tim Holtz Ticket. Craftwork Cards Sentiment.

Totally Papercrafts #49 Happy Birthday
Hello everyone, my teamie Lols has chosen a nice easy theme for you at Totally Papercrafts this week...
Happy Birthday
A great excuse to get a head start on your stack of birthday cards. This year the fabulous Meljen's Designs will be sponsoring us once a month, starting with this challenge, and the lucky winner will get to choose 4 digi images.
I used the cute Bulldog's Bear digi, from Meljen's Designs - coloured with Copics and 3D'd. I kept the design of the card pretty simple, to show off the gorgeous Basic Grey, Max and Whispers DP.
For the pooch in your life I added some doggy treats, tied on with string - and the little bone and 'I love dogs' embellies are buttons.

Totally Papercrafts #38 Autumn
Is it Friday again already?? Then it's time for another challenge at Totally Papercrafts.
This week the fabulous Sue is hosting our challenge and she has picked the theme of 'Autumn'.
I don't know what it's like in your part of the world, but Autumn has well and truly arrived here in Yorkshire.
The temperature has dropped and the leaves are falling from the trees. I love this time of year and I can't wait to see all your 'Autumn' projects.
We have some wonderful new DT members too - so please pop by their blogs and say hello to
I decided to go with Autumn colours and try my hand at a 'shaker' card.
I knew I had a couple of plastic, coaster kits, left over from my cross-stitching days. It took a lot of rummaging and a little swearing, before I finally found them. I put a good amount of 'autumn' coloured seed beads into the coaster, then my coloured image and then snapped the back into place. I used Glossy Accents to stick the coaster to a piece of scalloped card.
I like the way that Heidi and Madison look as though are knee deep in beads... kind of like standing in a heap of leaves!
The DP is Basic Grey, Max and Whiskers. Stamp - High Hopes, Heidi and Madison, coloured with Copics.
The corners were cut with my Slice - Parties Card and the banner with the Slice 'Pink' Card.
Banner text is a Personal Impressions stamp. Beads and Ribbon from my stash.
Hope that you will find time to join in our challenge and have some fun. xxx

It's your birthday...celebrate with a bath!!!
This will be my pooch tomorrow ( minus the mice, I hope!!! )
as she goes to the groomers for a bath and a haircut.
as she goes to the groomers for a bath and a haircut.
I have to keep it quiet though - if she suspects that's where she's going
she will hide under the cupboard and refuse to come out!
This is my card for the House Mouse challenge,
where the theme is 'Make a Splash!'
where the theme is 'Make a Splash!'
It was a very simple and quick card.
I coloured the image with Copics and added glitter to the bubbles.
The little doggy is a button - I just used pliers to snip off the shank
and the 'happy birrthday' is lifted with foam pads.

Totally Papercrafts #30 Summer Fun
Wow!
Loving all your 'Rainbow' cards from last week's
Check with the blog to see who the lucky winner was.
This week our host is Mel and she has chosen the theme of
'Summer Fun'
Well, we haven't seen much sun in Yorkshire recently,
so I wanted to make my card reflect this and
stay away from those bright sunny colours.
So, even though this is more subdued, I hope it still conveys 'Summer Fun'.
To go with my 'Dude' card I made a little 'Surf Shack'
all ready to fill with chocolate goodies!

My 'Surf Shack' started out life as a tea bag box!
I covered it with Basic Grey DP,
Added a little door with a brad for a handle.

Propped up some surf boards on the front,
and also added some to my computer generated 'Surf Shack' sign, on the top.
I am going to fill my shack with Heroes -
they're kind of 'guy' chocolates aren't they?

The 'surfer boy' image I used is from this week's sponsor
Squigglefly.
I paper pieced his clothes and the surf boards,
(Design Paper is Basic Grey, Granola)
and coloured the rest of him with Copics.
Then I finished off with some buttons and a small clip.

Is it really summer?

I had to have ALL the lights on in my kitchen this morning!
So, I thought I would drag the camera outdoors...
and try and find some natural light.
I'm pretty pleased with the result,
the colours actually look like they do in 'real life'.
Maybe I will be an outdoors girl from now on!!
I would like to enter my card for a couple of challenges -
Sketch Saturday, where I have followed their great sketch
and Cupcake Craft, where the theme is
'Cats & Dogs'.
Congrats to
Faye of Stampin Fluffnstuff
who will be the new owner of Cupcake Crafts
from the beginning of August.

Gone fishing

Give a man a fish.... feed him for the day.
Teach a man to fish... get rid of him for the weekend!!!
:-)
I just love this 'Great Day to Fish' digital stamp
from Whimsy.
How cute are those two guys together?
I coloured with Copics, 3D'd the characters,
and added some black thread for the fishing line.
The little sign is also Whimsy,
stuck on with foam pads.

I would like to enter my card for this week's
Stamp Something Challenge,
where the theme is
'Something Digital'.
They have some fabulous sponsors this week,
so join in if you can.
Digital Stamps - Whimsy
Design Paper is Basic Grey 'Granola', purchased from Emma's store.
