LLAMA LOVE

Hello

Rainbows have become a common sight on my dog walk.
Rainbow pictures are in people's windows, chalked on pavements, and painted on fences.
They definitely lift the spirits and make me smile.
So, how could I resist the rainbow challenge at

My 'rainbow' is in the form of brightly coloured rolls.
Not a complete rainbow I know, but my llama was already struggling under the weight - a few bundles even tumbled off!

PARTY ANIMAL

Hello

I had some help from my assistant this morning.
All sequins were checked for quality control ;-)

For my card, I played along at

I do love these cute little stamps, cos they allow me to do a minimal amount of colouring.
Then I only have to worry about where to put those tricky white highlights!

SOMEBUNNY LOVES YOU

Hello

Inspiration doesn't usually come quickly to me,
but when I saw this week's
these little, sitting, bunnies popped straight into my head.
I'm glad they did, cos they are kinda cute.

I was inspired by the simple layout of the chairs on the inspiration photo,
and I tried to replicate the colours as closely as I could.

THE DRINKS ARE ON ME

Hello

Here's my card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

A simple card, right?
But my brain was elsewhere and I managed to make several annoying, little mistakes.
First off, after I stuck down the cocktails, I realised they were way off centre - I tried to fix it by trimming the panel down a little, but it's still what my eye is drawn to.
Then I dropped the star stamp, so ended up having to stamp a few more than I wanted.
Finally, I stuck my panel down a little to the left. I definitely have a habit of doing that though.
Hey ho!

A TRIO OF BLOOMS

Hello

My inspiration today came from a duvet cover I saw online
(picture at the end of this post)
It's from Orla Kiely, who does the most amazing retro graphic prints.
I spent an age drooling over her designs.

With just a little trimming of my die cuts, I got the effect I was aiming for,
and the sentiment strip covers up the worst of the joins.

For some added interest, the blooms were all popped up with foam tape.

This is definitely a card I can see myself making again with different colour combinations.

JUST MY TYPE

Hello.

Eek! It's been almost a month since my last post.
This card took me forever...
I've totally forgotten how to craft   :-)

I started out with the CAS(E) this Sketch,
but I don't have a star die, and my brain could not work out how to draw a star, so I swapped it for a circle :-)

The circle is stamped with polka dots, embossed with clear powder and then inked - so it does add some texture to the card.
