Do you love anyone more than treats?

Hi. Today I'm making a start on some Valentine's Day cards. We are a dog loving family - between us we have a Border Terrier, a Staffy, and a Puggle - so I am a huge fan of dog stamps and cards, and this 'woof pack' set was a must for me.

I've followed the sketch at this week's Freshly Made Sketches, changing the large circle for a heart and the smaller ones for the dog and his favourite cushion  :o)

The background was stamped with a little, grass and flower stamp, and coloured with Copics.

Happiness is Homemade Soup

Tips for those slow mojo days...

1. use a card sketch
2. head over to freshly made sketches
3. remember their challenge ends on a MONDAY !

Tick. Tick. And Tick   :o)

I'm usually guilty of pushing the boundaries of a card sketch - changing the shapes or the dimensions. This time I have stuck pretty much to the plan, just changing the orientation.

I stamped some little elements in a random pattern,  to make the background and then added my chef and his pots, with foam tape. The sentiment was a bit of jiggery pokery,  using a couple of stamp sets.

Shine Bright Like A Rainbow

Hello. Today I've made a custom card for my great niece. And yes, I did have to google 'great niece' -  it sounds like something out of Downton :o)

I adore these letters from Clearly Besotted. They are just the cutest for creating personalised cards.
Today I coloured them with a rainbow of copics and fussy cut them. Then they were popped up onto an inky background.
I went a bit crazy with the white gel pen, but I was having fun. It seems, using rainbow colours really does cheer you up!

Peach Fuzz Pantone Colour of the Year 2024

Hello. How is everyone's weekend going?
We went out for breakfast this morning, so I'm posting this card before I slump into a full english coma :o)

Daring Cardmakers want to see Pantone's colour of the year -  Peach Fuzz. So, I rummaged through my inks and came up with only one peach colour. This made those 2 step blooms tricky. Usually I can get away with stamping the first layer lightly and then stamping the second layer a couple of times to get a deeper shade, but that wasn't happening with this ink, so I had to go over it with copic marker.
IRL it's a lovely, soft peachy colour, but the camera doesn't capture it well.

  • pinkfresh studio - perfect sentiments
  • altenew inks - peach sorbet, dark chocolate, sea breeze
  • lawn fawn ink - sage leaf
  • copics
  • clear bubbles

You're Souper Cool

Hello. Today I'm sharing a 'souper' card with you.

This cute 'recipe for happiness' collection was my last purchase, and this is it's first inking up.
I think it's going to be a good set for masculine cards, but I also want to try it with some pinks and purples to mix it up a bit.

I'm a bit annoyed at my salt and pepper pots floating in the air, but they were well stuck down before I realised. Argh!

Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

Hello. I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year.
Today I'm sharing another Christmas card with you.  This stamp set arrived a little too late to make more than a couple of quick cards with, and I really don't want to put it away. I do love my Christmas stamps, and last year I had so little spare time to craft, that I was just rushing through the process. I think this year, I will leave them out and enjoy using them.
Do you put your Christmas stash away?

I couldn't resist this cute set. It was all die-cut, coloured with copics and popped up with foam tape for some dimension.
