Have A Wild Birthday

Hello.
Today I have been down a Pinterest rabbit hole  :o)
When I saw the 'tropical' theme at Time Out Challenges, I headed over to there for some inspiration.  Wow! This is a great theme. I loved all the lush, vibrant colour combos. I NEED to try them all.

For now, I went with this blue to orange blend and a jungle feel.

I started by blending my panel with distress inks and sprinkling some water drops.
Then, I die cut my leopard image, coloured him with copics and popped him up with foam tape.
For the canopy of leaves, I die cut the end of that branch several times and added some flat and some popped up leaves, for a bit of interest.
Finally, I scattered a few dew drops around and added a white embossed sentiment.

It's Not Where You Go, It's Who You Travel With

Hello.
Today I'm sharing a super, quick card, for the Less Is More Challenge.

I stamped the image straight onto a card blank, and coloured it with copics. For the background I added some very faint stenciled clouds (they don't show up great on this photo), and then stamped a sentiment.
Job done.

Colour all the Flowers

Hello.
It's hard to find time to craft right now, so today I wanted a reasonably quick make, but I also fancied a bit of colouring. This cover plate die was perfect.

I die-cut the cover plate, popped out all the leaf pieces, and attached it to my card blank. Then I coloured the leaves in, and inserted them back into their spaces. I die-cut a second cover plate, coloured the blooms and popped them up with foam tape. Then I added a little bling, some white pen, and a birthday sentiment.     (Check out my Instagram reel for a quick video).

I used my ecoline brush pens for this, because they give a wonderful, vibrant colour. I can't wait to try this with the reds!

Happy Father's Day, From The Dog

Hello.
It's Father's Day this weekend, so I made a card for my dh, from the dog   :o)

It's well know in our family that, whenever Mr Kiss gets up, for any reason, the dog jumps straight into his seat. Then the dog has a little grumble when he gets picked up and moved.
So, I thought this would be a fun, little scene with these super cute room and decor dies.

I began by stamping the sentiment onto my card panel. The individual letters are tricky to stamp, but I went over them with a black fineliner where the ink didn't come out great. Then I just built up the room scene with lots of dies - some of those books are tiny! - and added my pup in the centre.
(If you want to see a quick reel of this card being put together, check out my Instagram)

Team Couch Potato

Hello.
I blew the budget (again 😃 ) with these super, cute home dies from My Favorite Things.
This is my first card with them, but there are so many possibilities - I think they're going to be a lot of fun.

I started by die cutting all the elements and then sticking together the tiny pieces - the table tops, the sofa cushions and legs, the little picture frame, the lamp and potted plant - they are a bit fiddly, but fun too!
Then I simply arranged them for my cozy room, and stamped one of the sentiments.
If you're one of my Instagram visitors you can see that I used this card, for my first ever reel !! I had no idea what I was doing, and it's a bit basic, but that means I can only get better, right?   :o)

All You Need Is Love... And Donuts

Hello.
Some cards are just fun to make, aren't they? And this was one of those. A little box of donuts and sweet wishes for my dd's birthday.

I started by stamping and die-cutting my donuts in various 'flavours'   :o) Then they were popped up with foam tape onto a card panel.
To create a 'lid' I stuck some clear acetate to my scalloped border and attached this to the donut layer with 2 layers of foam tape for extra height.

I die cut the sweet sentiment from gold metallic card and glued this to the acetate, along with the 'birthday wishes' To complete the box look, I added a little ribbon and bow in the top corner.
I admit, it's been so long since I used ribbon on a card, I had to watch a little video to remind me how to use the 'bow easy'.

Strike Up The Band, It's The Jubilee

Hello. It's time for a street party!
Get your bunting out,  your party food ready, and strike up the band, to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Here's the bunny band, all ready to go.

I inked up a background with distress ink, and splattered it with acrylic paint. This is quite a good splatter for me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it usually ends up everywhere! I've started to place my panel inside an old shoe box and then splatter away :o)

The bunnies were stamped and die cut, coloured with copics, and popped up with foam tape.
