Sending You An Ocean Of Love

Hello.
This month has been all about the ocean and fish, for us. We have been building up to today - our grandson's 2nd birthday - and a big family trip to The Deep.
Here's the birthday card I made him.

I wanted to put all those ocean creatures on there, so that he could pick them out. We're doing great at recognising the whales and shark - the narwhal is a bit more challenging  ;o)

Do-do-do Come On And Do The Conga

Hello.
It's conga time :o)

First: apologies if that conga song is stuck in your head for the rest of the day :o)
These cute, party animals just make me smile. Here, I stamped them onto a card blank and coloured them with copics. For some extra colour I added a little banner, and used the same copics around the edge of my layering panel.

I Will Walrus Love You

Hello.
Here's another card using my new, walrus set. This cute walrus is having a little snooze on the rocks.

For the background I used my Ecoline Brush Pens. I LOVE these pens - the colours are really vibrant and, if you're careful, you can blend them on ordinary cardstock, without using water.
I die cut the heart into a panel and placed that on top.
The walrus on the rocks,  was stamped onto dark grey card then die cut. Then I stamped it again onto light grey card, cut out the walrus, and popped it over the top with foam pads.

Cold Days Hot Drinks

Hello.
Today I'm playing along at the Little Red Wagon Challenge
When I saw the theme was 'warm drinks' I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to use. This is one of my all time favourites.

After masking the image (and a circle for the moon) I used distress ink for the background. Then I coloured those winter pals in with Copics.
I love how the little robin is warming his feet on the edge of a cup of cocoa.

Lastly I added some water drops and some white splatter. Argh! I HATE splatter. It never really works for me. I end up with too large spots, or too small ones. And yes, I've watched hundreds of videos where people just tap their brush and it splatters beautifully.  I am just not one of those people.
Don't look too closely, or you can see where my first huge blobs of white had to be wiped off!!

I Am The Walrus

Hello.
I know, I'm late to the party, but I finally got my hands on some goodies from Time For Tea Designs. They have some super, cute sets and I couldn't resist this walrus - especially as we had been watching Thor's antics last month.

I created some little, ombre waves with a die, and attached my walruses with foam tape, for dimension. I'm always a little wary when I get new stamps and I don't know how to colour them - so I made life easy for myself and stamped the walruses onto pale grey card and then just added a little shading and some dots.

The original sentiment says 'we will walrus be friends' - but with a little alteration and some luck in finding a similar sized sentiment in my stash, I changed it to 'I will walrus love you'.
